Matawai Masterchefs
Congratulations to Kaelyn and Sophia on taking out the title of our Maara Kai challenge!
They will be representing our school with their winning dishes, Winter pesto Pasta with crunchy kale chips & Fruit crumble - all made with produce from our school garden. Well done girls!
Dear Room 4,
ReplyDeletemy mouth was watering looking at this blog post. You really made me hungry.
I have never tasted Kale chips before. How did you make them? I would love to try them as I have a friend who has kale in his garden. I would be able to get some form him and have a go at making them.
I am impressed that your school garden has all this produce in it.

DeleteThank you for commenting on our blog post. The dishes were delicious and I was lucky enough to taste them all with our judge!
Making kale chips is easy. Chop the kale into chip sized pieces, coat them in oil and salt, lay them on a baking tray and bake at 180 for around 2-3 minutes until crunchy. Watch them as they can burn easily.
Thank you for your help this term.
Happy holidays...take care and enjoy the kale chips.
