World War 1 silhouette art

Our World War 1 writing and art work up on the walls, looking amazing!

The most challenging aspect of the art work was creating a detailed stencil of a war image.  Many children chose an image that corresponded with their personal 'wonderings' and research.

Thanks for the great comments on our art.

We used paint and sponges to create our sunset backgrounds. We then used light card to draw a war image and carefully cut them out to get the silhouette then painted them in black.

We also did an inquiry about World War 1 and every student chose one aspect of the war that interested them like, the role of animals, vehicles, weaponry, nursing etc.

    Thanks
